How to Play Tetris
The Goal
Tetris is a puzzle game where blocks (called "tetrominoes") fall from the top of the screen. Your goal is to:
- Move and rotate the falling pieces
- Fill complete horizontal lines
- Clear lines to score points
- Prevent the stack from reaching the top
The 7 Pieces
There are exactly 7 different shapes in Tetris, each made of 4 blocks:
- I-Piece: Long straight line (essential for clearing 4 lines at once)
- O-Piece: Square (doesn't rotate)
- T-Piece: T-shape
- S-Piece: S-shape
- Z-Piece: Z-shape
- J-Piece: J-shape
- L-Piece: L-shape
